Evangelize The Internet
It all started about seven years ago with this passage Ezekiel 7:23. I didn't have a clue what it meant. I prayed and received no definite answers. Just things like talking about love and compassion, getting rid of hate, about belief and faith, about stepping out in faith. HE introduced me to people who had stepped out and were stepping out and I even got to provide what little help I could at the time. Little did I know until a month ago what HIS plan was. Up till then it was all training and building up my faith.
The day that GOD put HIS thoughts into my wee brain about HIS plan to evangelize the Internet I had to give my head a shake because my next thought was I must be hearing things and dismissed the notion. However GOD can be pretty persistent as these thoughts pervaded my waking and sleeping moments. Here I was looking for a job and GOD has one for me, to evangelize the Internet.
Alright, this one does not pay but once I finally got my head around this thought and started to listen than a paying job came my way.
Now who am I that GOD would ask me to join HIM in HIS plan?
A voice replies, “Are you forgetting your pastors teachings?
Remember the story of Moses at the burning bush and how our LORD would have none of his excuses?”
Biting my lip and thinking out loud, “yeah, I remember.” After all it is better to learn through someone else's mistakes. I will make enough as it is so, I guess I had better and take the guidance as it comes.
So an overview of the plan was revealed. Whoa man! That is huge. Oh wow, how does one evangelize the Internet? Thoughts like this raced through my mind at the enormity of the job.
“Who is bigger, GOD or the Internet?”
Well umm....
“Who does the impossible?”
I know the answer. GOD does the Impossible so now I also know that the Internet is not impossible.
“That takes care of that thought, lets get on with it.”
Right!
For the next couple of weeks or so GOD had the tools that I would need fall into my lap. Some programs, some training, and some web sites that I needed came free, some I had to pay for. Some knowledge I had to find on my own (well, with HIS leading), some knowledge I suddenly had.
Than came the day I had to write the first article. I wrote it, read it, rewrote it, reread it, re-rewrote it, re-reread it, started to re-re-rewrite it again.
“Um, what are you doing?” came that little voice from behind my ear.
Oops!
“Write this as best you can can in your own way. It is an introduction and nothing more. Just check your spelling and put it up on your website.”
Okay, crumpling up the pages, tossing them away and starting over on a new page, I listened to what I should write.
Completed, spelling checked, I put the article , Reaching Out to Another World Within This World up and suddenly I had an increase of visitors to my website. Well I must be on the right track.
More articles came, some got posted, some are being held back, some are still thoughts that haven't been clarified yet.
The next article was even more nerve racking, I had to tape my voice as well and threw a poem I had wrote years ago in it as well. This was the overview of the plan. Only not all the details, just the overview and emphasis on the most important part of the plan.
“Don't go into detail of the whole plan, but the first step is to be emphasized. That is the most important step. With out it, this plan will not work.”
So you see, I can be replaced by anybody else who will listen and step out in faith. This one step however, the participants of this step, cannot be replaced.
So up went the second article.
GOD'S Plan to Evangelize the Internet Overview was posted.
Is the suspense eating at you yet?
Sorry. I will not keep you waiting any longer, although all of it plays together like a symphony, the most important part is not mine but the churches from all over the world that can participate.
All I have to do is listen, research areas of the Internet, keywords to use, articles to write, train people who will help get non Christians and fallen Christians to make contact with you the church.
GOD will bring the people, sort of like the movie, Field of Dreams, “ you build it and they will come.”
Lots of these people are going to be hurting, disillusioned, sick people in great need. They will need people who are loving, understanding, compassionate, who will not judge them but extend a loving, helpful hand. A hand that will help these people deal with their situation, to support them according to GOD'S word with out preaching at them, but giving true down to earth help with the message of love that GOD has to extend help, the forgiveness of GOD, the gift of JESUS, eventually, yet gently bringing them to accepting JESUS and remaining a Christian brother or sister forever.
This is the most important part of the whole plan, providing a home for these people as they come seeking. To be their help in their time of need, to be their guide to JESUS and to be their home as they grow, learn and mature in their new Christian walk.
You, the church, pastors and leaders have the most important part, to be their home. This plan will not work with out you.
Take a look at the first Christians. They wandered around with JESUS, learning, taking part, preparing themselves.
Than came the day, the day JESUS made it possible for man to stand before GOD sinless. The birth of the Christian church by HIS death. Commissioned to spread the news. This church provided a home for man to learn and grow in CHRIST JESUS. It spread so we have the many Christian churches now a days.
Once again a new world needs CHRIST, but because of the nature of that new world being a manifestation of scattered electrons being organized on a screen, we need to provide the touch here in this world, the touch that is lacking in that world. That touch is by GOD, through man, to show these people that other people truly care and that HE cares. After all we do have a living GOD in JESUS who feels everything we feel.
Ask yourself this question. Am I doing all I can to serve GOD or is there more?
The answer is yes, there is more. You don't need to do anything more than what you are doing now, except to get your church listed on the locater board. This is free to do, all it costs you is your time to register. This first step of building the locater board is imperative.
Now ask GOD this question, Am I doing all I can to serve YOU LORD?
