God is first concerned about who you are or becoming. secondly, He is concerned about what you do; thirdly and lastly, He is concerned about what you possess.
A man's life does constitute of the things he possesses. A man can give all his possession away and not be a giver. If i give all my possession away and have not love i am nothing.
So the first priority in giving is to be or become a giver.
Secondly, as a giver, he ought to increase in his works of giving. Now, you have to keep in mind the story of the widow who only had one mite and gave it; according to Jesus, her works of giving was greater than the rest who placed more money in the offering. you should not compare your giving with someone else's.
Lastly, he should expect to prosper and have many times more.

So let us believe God as He sees it

In Giving - let me become a giver.
In Giving - let me increase in giving.
In Giving - let me receive and have many times more.
in Jesus' Name.
